In the field as in public life, kindness and simplicity have always characterized. If he had not embraced a football career, he could have been a great lyricist so much he liked doing poetry. In the post-independence years, each of us dreamed of resembling Abrouk Mohamed. This great CRBelcourt goalkeeper who had specialized in penaltys stops, each time gave the victory to his team. He was gifted and contributed with the Lalmas, Kalem, Achour, Djemaa, Selmi, and others, to perpetuate the supremacy of the great Shabab. It is to his credit as Nassou with whom, he learned beautiful things. Abrouk Mohamed was a man full of joy, humor and correction. He was part of the glorious football formation of the CRB which gave birth to all football lovers. Today at 59 spring, Abrouk Mohamed is part of the great furniture of Algerian football. He realized a faultless circuit. Junior international and substitute of the great Nassou in the woods of Chabab Belcourt, he points to the doors of the Greens. Lucien Leduc landed him at the age of 21 in Algiers in 1967 to face the Polish Legia-Warsaw training. His last match with the Green and White was at the age of 27 in Tripoli in 1973 against Iraq with coach Said Amara. Abrouk Mohamed participated in a playoff match of the African Cup, two Olympic Games matches, various tournaments and friendlies. He has worn the national jersey more than 29 times. It is with the Hungarian coach Sostarik at the Aït Saâda stadium, ex-Biales that Mohamed Abrouk will forge his technical weapons including his game of anticipation, his placement and the revival of the ball of the foot or the hand. He was the very elegance on the ground. A true gentleman of the Chabab Riadhi of Belcourt. He was unbeatable on the balls. He had managed to take his seriousness to win in his club and national team. He had the makings of a great goalkeeper.
It was with Nassou that he had learned a lot, he will gain safety, placement and with age he had acquired authority in his area of repair. An authority without which, a goalkeeper can not express himself totally. If Kaoua from Mouloudia dressed in white to take the nickname of the white angel, Nassou preferred the black outfit that earned him the title of black cat. Abrouk Mohamed imitated his predecessor for a black outfit that earned him the title of "the black panther". He was a well-known gentleman, a goalkeeper of the most prestigious football training Algeria has ever known. At 21, he was given the task of keeping the woods of Green and White. He will perform for six good years with much sobriety of this confidence that will be renewed by Lucien Leduc, Amara Said, Rachid Mekhloufi, Ibrir, Ammi Smaïl Khabatou and others. He was endowed with boundless foresight which made him an indispensable element, whether at the CRB or the EN. The secret of his success was his seriousness and his diligence in training. He was the first on the field and the last dressed. He had enormous qualities, remarkable reflexes and a very good presence on the aerial balls. Never a delayed exit. Always well placed, fast on the balls and excellent in the recovery. For many years, coaches who have succeeded each other at the helm of the national team will have no problem with wood. Abrouk Mohamed was the right man, able to adapt to all situations and to establish himself as a full member. Abrouk was a superb athlete, all in power who, at the height of 1m 80, dominates all his defense. Once his career was over, he signed a license at the US Health (club disappeared from circulation), then he stopped playing definitely at an advanced age reaching forty years. Abrouk Mohamed is part of the great history of football after independence. He deserves every respect.
